Dr. Wanda Jones, Founder, Woman of Integrity
When Wanda Jones was a restless youth, she found herself caught up in
New York City street life, addicted to crack-cocaine and shot with a nine
millimeter gun. With the loving support of her family and divine inspiration,
Wanda put her life back on track and in 2007, she established the organization
Woman of Integrity (WOI.) WOI assists, shelters and educates women who
are experiencing the same challenges she faced in her youth and gives
them the tools to lead more progressive lives. Tune in to be inspired
by this woman of integrity, who has gone from the streets of NYC on to
a GED and now a PhD.

Orlando Molina aka Emcee ZEPS
Ever since Angela was a teenager, she has heard mature generations exclaim
“Hip Hop music will die!” Sadly but truly, Hip Hop has outlived
some of those same people and continues to be a formidable and profitable
force in the music industry. Today, Emcee ZEPS a Brooklyn born and raised
Nyorican, talks about how he uses his writing, rhyming and entrepreneurial
skills to keep Hip Hop fresh and alive in New York City and to motivate
young people positively. Angela also discusses the similarities between
today's Hip Hop poets and the Elizabethan era's William Shakespeare, with
particular focus on the use of the notorious “N” word. Yes!
Shakespeare did use the “N” word in one of his sonnets and
today Angela will reveal exactly which one.

Peter Westbrook, Founder, Peter Westbrook Foundation
Born to a Japanese mother and an African-American father, Peter Westbrook
was raised in the rough and tumble projects of Newark, New Jersey in an
abusive household. At his mother's insistence, young Peter enrolled and
excelled in sword fencing classes and his skills earned him a full scholarship
to New York University and ultimately a bronze medal in the 1984 Olympics.
To share his blessings, he established the Peter Westbrook Foundation
in 1994 to teach underserved children the art and sport of fencing, while
building their self-esteem and interpersonal skills. Some of his students
are present day Olympians and many more are poised for future greatness
in their lives and careers. Peter Westbrook is a vivacious guest who will
leave listeners feeling uplifted.

Daniel Gottlieb, Author Learning from the Heart
Daniel Gottlieb's many achievements include being a practicing psychologist
and family therapist, a nationally recognized mental health expert, talk
show host, columnist, lecturer and author. What sets him apart from others
of the same ilk, is revealed between the covers of his latest book Learning
from the Heart---Lessons on Living, Loving and Listening. At the age of
thirty-three, Gottlieb suffered spinal chord injury that left him quadriplegic
and with the choice of living in self-pity or living fully in spite of
his physical limitations. He chose the latter and in doing so, finds fulfillment
in serving and inspiring other people with physical challenges and physically
able people with emotional challenges. Today's discussion will offer listeners
a new perspective on dealing with life's unexpected events.
