DECEMBER 12TH, 2007 MOTI HASSON AND SHINIQUE SMITH
MOTI HASSON GALLERY

For twenty years, Israeli born Moti Hasson had a successful career as a globe trotting diamond importer and while traveling, he spent his down time visiting museums and art galleries and building his personal art collection. It was only a matter of time that Moti's passion for art lead him to New York City to become a gallery owner and artist representative. One such artist is Shinique Smith who combines street sensibility and high art to create groundbreaking works that bridge the divide between painting and sculpture. Today, Moti and Shinique discuss art's positive impact upon humanity and they introduce All Purpose – Shinique's solo exhibition that is currently on display at the Moti Hasson Gallery in New York City's Chelsea district.
